Suprema is once again being praised for its new Airfob Patch solution. Security Sales and Integration (SSI) has listed the device as one of the 30 Top Technology Innovations of 2020, becoming the second major institution to recognize the AirFob Patch after it took home the Judges’ Choice Award at the Security Industry Association’s New Product Showcase Awards in July.
The SSI Top 30 list highlights security products that are likely to be particularly beneficial to clients in a real-world setting. The program does not solicit submissions or accept entry fees, and instead trusts its panel of experts to select winners based on their extensive knowledge of the security industry.
The AirFob Patch was designed to enhance the utility of a traditional RFID card reader, giving it the ability to communicate with mobile devices. As a result, organizations can use the Patch to integrate digital credentials into their existing access control systems without making any additional hardware upgrades. The Patch draws its power from the reader’s RF field signals, and therefore does not require a battery or separate wiring.
“We are honored that Airfob Patch was recognized as one of the top technology innovations of the year,” said Suprema CEO Young S. Moon. “Suprema will continue its R&D efforts to keep introducing products and solutions truly beneficial to our partners in the industry.”
The AirFob Patch is compatible with Suprema’s new Mobile Access solution, which debuted in the early stages of the pandemic. Suprema Mobile Access enables contactless access control, and is consequently more hygienic than touch-based alternatives.
