Vivo Emphasizes Gaming and Selfies with New V17 Pro

Vivo Emphasizes Gaming and Selfies with New V17 Pro

Vivo has lifted the curtain on its new V17 Pro smartphone, which will debut in India before making its way to other global markets. The phone’s most noteworthy new feature is the 32MP Dual Elevating Front Camera, which is being paired with an 8MP Wide-Angle Front Camera that will make it easier to take difficult selfies, whether at night or of a large group of people.

“The new V series member brings our Elevating Front Camera to a whole new level, by incorporating not one but two front cameras,” said Vivo SVP Spark Ni. “V17 Pro reinforces our position as a pioneer in bringing best-in-class mobile experiences to the global stage.”

In addition to the front cameras, the V17 Pro comes with a rear-mounted 48MP AI Quad Camera with a variety of different lenses, as well as the Pose Master and AI Makeup beautification filters. The screen is a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED Ultra FullView Display, and supports an in-display fingerprint scanner.

In that regard, the V17 is in line with other recent Vivo offerings like the Z1x and the 5G-ready NEX 3 line, both of which feature in-display fingerprint scanners. The new phone provides yet more evidence of Vivo’s commitment to in-display biometrics.

The V17 also doubles down on Vivo’s investment in mobile gaming with a Game Mode that monitors phone performance and allows users to turn off notifications while playing. Everything runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 AIE processor.
