Today, Arkami, the company behind mobile identity solution myIDkey, announced the closing of a series A financing round totaling $1.8 Million in addition to a successful Kickstarter campaign that concluded in March. Investments, which will be used to accelerate myIDkey’s development, facilitate Arkami’s growth, and meet the demands of customers, came from a number of angel investors that include Gordon Clemons, McNeel Capital and Mark Swanson.
Recently named CEWeek’s Best in Show Premier Product Winner, myIDkey was unveiled at the Consumer Electronics show in Las Vegas this past January. The biometric device is a complete password management system, capable of filling in security information for websites accessed via computer and smartphone. Once myIDkey’s fingerprint swipe sensor is activated, the USB/Bluetooth drive allows for voice activated search for login, ID and password information. It also allows for the encryption of certain files, protecting them with the user’s fingerprint.
Voicing his excitement in having the aid of these new investors, Arkami CEO Benjamin Chen said, “This funding round is a great vote of confidence in our vision for myIDkey to replace the need for passwords.”
