Mobile biometrics specialist Credence ID is expanding its team and the scope of its business. With an eye to further developing its presence in the Americas, the company has announced the appointment of Robert Garrigan as its Vice President of Sales and Business Development for the Americas.
In a statement announcing Garrigan’s entry into the fold, Credence ID highlighted his many years of experiencing with technological solutions for companies in the public safety and financial services sectors. Among other accomplishments, Garrigan led the European relaunch of Thomson Financial’s First Call—an indication of his capacity for regional business development. More recently, in his work at Elsag North America, Garrigan assisted clients at the NYPD, the FBI, and the Department of Homeland Security with automatic number plate recognition technology; that kind of experience with government clients could prove valuable as Credence ID strives to meet the “steep increases in demand” that CEO Bruce Hanson has seen in the areas of law enforcement and refugee screening, among others.
In seeking to expand its presence in the Americas, Credence ID is building on a solid foundation. The company was given the 2015 Asia-Pacific Frost & Sullivan Entrepreneurial Company of the Year Award, and has a strong platform of mobile biometric devices with a range of potential applications.
Commenting on his appointment, Garrigan called Credence ID “a trusted technology provider to dozens of partners around the world,” adding, “I couldn’t be more proud and excited to join such an innovative and service-oriented organization.”
