Safran Identity & Security is aiming for a strong showing for next week’s Mobile World Congress, with plans to show off innovative technologies involving payments, connectivity, biometrics, and the Internet of Things.
The company will place a particular emphasis on its newly announced IoThrive platform, which is aimed at offering end-to-end security for the IoT. It includes trusted identity solutions for non-cellular networks like WiFi and Bluetooth, which Safran says will comprise over 70 percent of IoT connections by 2025; and it offers secure elements designed for IoT devices, security for cloud services, and more.
As Safran Identity & Security VP Yves Portalier explains in a statement announcing the platform, “IoThrive is the only package that presents the entire solution required for robust security and a trusted identity of Things”.
Given that the IoT is generating so much buzz ahead of this year’s MWC, it’s a solution that should prove exciting among many attendees. But Safran Identity & Security should also draw attention with other offerings, such as its facial, fingerprint, and iris recognition SDKs, its biometric match-on-card payment solutions, and identity solutions like Mobile Connect.
Safran will show all of this off from stand G 30 in Hall 6 of next week’s MWC, which runs from February 27 to March 2 in Barcelona.
