“Silead had provided the company with a previous device integration in late 2015, and other partners have likewise kept up Precise Biometrics’ momentum in licensing revenues”
Precise Biometrics‘ flagship algorithm software, Precise BioMatch Mobile, has been integrated into a new smartphone.
In a statement announcing the integration, the company declined to name the device or OEM client in particular, but noted that the device had been “recently launched”. Precise Biometrics also elaborated that the integration comes by way of Silead, a China-based IC specialist that partnered with the company in the spring of 2015.
The development points to the continuing success of Precise Biometrics’ strategy of diversifying its roster of hardware partners in a market that faces rising competitive pressures. Silead had provided the company with a previous device integration in late 2015, and other partners have likewise kept up Precise Biometrics’ momentum in licensing revenues.
Precise Biometric says this latest integration will begin producing licensing revenues immediately in Q1 of 2017, with total revenues depending upon sales.
