In order to enter the next era of mobile convenience, next generation security is essential. Today, Trustonic and SecureKey announced that in order to expand and enable next generation security in connected devices, the companies have partnered, combining the former’s ‹t-base Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) with the latter’s briidge.net Connect services.
A TEE protects the storage and processing of sensitive and critical data on a device, adding enough cryptographic security to reduce the reliance on passwords.
On the other side of the equation, briidge.net Connect is a cloud-based strong authentication service that uses device based digital IDs. Together, ‹t-base and briidge.net Connect combine security and end-user convenience: the key components in an ideal post-password solution.
“People depend on their smart devices for work and play, so it’s integral to the user experience in an increasingly connected economy,” explains SecureKey’s executive vice president of global partnerships Didier Serra. “Together, with Trustonic, we are delivering a powerful combination of world-leading security with superior user experience that makes it easy for people to securely access online services they rely upon.”
According to Olivier Leger, Trustonic’s executive vice president of sales and marketing, SecureKey’s user friendliness will play a key role in what he refers to as “leading the identity revolution”.
“Its authentication solution will always be with users in their trusted smart devices,” says Leger. “Trustonic understands that the mobile device is the personal device that never leaves someone’s side and must be secure. SecureKey’s briidge.net Connect authentication services that work with Trustonic technology is proof of our vision of seamless and secure digital lives.”
Recently, Mobile ID World reported that Trustonic is collaborating with Fingerprint Cards AB to accelerate a similar goal: the spread of the FIDO Ready standards.
