ZTE has now confirmed that its flagship Axon Mini smartphone will soon be available around the world. Currently available for online purchase to Chinese consumers, the Axon Mini will soon be available in Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, India, Russia, Australia, Turkey, Spain, Italy, and France.
The Axon Mini is the newest iteration of the original Axon, which launched in July. That device was the first from ZTE to incorporate a fingerprint sensor, and the Axon Mini continues that trend, again incorporating an FPC1025 sensor from leading sensor maker Fingerprint Cards (FPC). It also offers biometric identification via eye-scan, and a number of voice command options.
In terms of other specifications, the Axon Mini features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor, 3GB of RAM, a 13 MP camera at the back and an 8 MP camera at the front, 32-bit Hi-Fi audio playback, and an aluminum-titanium alloy chassis.
ZTE’s Axon Mini also boasts pressure-sensitive capabilities in its touchscreen, a popular feature on new smartphones like the Huawei Mate S which hit the market in the middle of September.
ZTE is also entering the wearable tech race with the Axon Watch which is slated for launch in China at the end of this month.
