Jumio has walked away with another gold medal at the Cybersecurity Excellence Awards. This time around, the company was recognized for its fully automated Jumio Go solution, which received the top prize in the Identity Proofing and Corroboration category for 2021.
The feat gets Jumio into the winners’ circle for the third consecutive year. The company picked up three golds and a silver in 2019, and followed that up with two golds and a silver in 2020.
Jumio Go is a remote onboarding solution that debuted in the fall of 2019, using face and document recognition to eliminate the need for human review. The solution allows organizations to comply with the latest Know Your Customer regulations, and comes with liveness detection tech to guard against deepfakes and other forms of spoofing.
For its part, Jumio argued that the emerging remote work environment has created an urgent need for secure digital authentication services like Jumio Go. The solution compares a selfie to the image on an official photo ID to verify a customer’s identity.
“Since businesses have shifted online amid the COVID-19 pandemic, verifying a user’s digital identity is more critical and challenging than ever as face-to-face verification is no longer an option,” said Jumio CEO Robert Prigge. “Fraud is also escalating as cybercriminals are taking advantage of the digital world to refine their techniques. We’re honored to help enterprises combat this challenge by providing a solution for enterprises to safely onboard customers.”
The Cybersecurity Excellence Awards are presented by Cybersecurity Insiders. Jumio Go also picked up a 2020 Golden Bridge Award back in October.
