Today, Cartes Secure Connexions America announced the keynote lineup of its upcoming fourth iteration, held May 5 through 7 in Washington, DC. This year’s event will focus on a number of important topics in mobile identity including mPayment technology, EMV integration and digital currency.
The keynotes announced today run Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of the event and feature speakers from ABnote, AMEX, Bitcoin, Fiserv and MasterCard – a particularly prominent proponent for biometrics and mobile identity management.
MasterCard – which as used biometric technology to secure card payments, participates in Apple Pay, and leads a global financial inclusion initiative that depends on biometrics – will be part of the Wednesday panel at Cartes America.
The panel will be hosted by Carolyn Balfany, MasterCard’s Senior Vice President of Product Delivery – EMV, and it will address EMV technology from the perspective of industry experts hailing from various backgrounds. The panel will consist of experts in card issuance, retail and manufacturing.
