“Fingerprint Cards and Precise Biometrics technologies have been used together in a wide range of mobile devices in recent years…”
Biometric technology from Fingerprint Cards and Precise Biometrics is being used in another new smartphone.
In statements announcing the new integrations, neither company named the client in question, though both noted that it’s based in Taiwan. FPC indicated that the client is using its FPC1155 fingerprint sensor, while Precise Biometrics said that it’s running Precise BioMatch Mobile, the company’s flagship algorithm software for mobile devices.
Fingerprint Cards and Precise Biometrics technologies have been used together in a wide range of mobile devices in recent years, though lately both companies have looked beyond their partnership for new business opportunities. Still, the Taiwan-based OEM’s integrations indicate the continuing importance of the companies’ strategic alliance.
