Yubico Extends YubiEnterprise Delivery Service to 15 New Countries

November 16, 2021

Yubico is extending the scope of its YubiEnterprise Delivery service program. The YubiEnterprise Delivery service formally debuted in May of 2020, following an initial announcement in February of that year. The program allows Yubico customers to place individual and bulk orders for YubiKeys through a centralized self-service console, and arrange to have those YubiKeys shipped directly to remote employees.

Yubico Extends YubiEnterprise Delivery Service to 15 New Countries

The latest expansion will increase the number of countries that are eligible for YubiKey deliveries. Yubico would only ship to the US, Canada, and select countries in Europe when it debuted. The company will now ship to 15 new countries all over the world, in a move that raises the total number of supported countries to 49. Those 15 countries are Mexico, Chile, Israel, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, India, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, Japan, Philippines, Indonesia, Australia, and New Zealand.

Yubico has already processed roughly 90,000 shipments since launching YubiEnterprise Delivery last year. Businesses that are interested can use Yubico’s own cloud Console, or they can use public APIs to integrate the service into their own IT infrastructure. The portal makes it easy to place and track YubiKey shipments, and to learn more about the shipping costs to each region. Administrators can also use the platform to manage inventory, and generate reports on their company’s YubiKey consumption habits.

The YubiEnterprise Service will ship YubiKeys to residential addresses in addition to corporate locations. With that in mind, Yubico has pitched the service to organizations that want to protect a remote workforce during the COVID-19 pandemic. Cyberattacks have increased over the course of the past two years, and the YubiEnterprise Delivery program helps organizations enforce passwordless and/or multi-factor authentication practices for those logging in remotely.

In other news, Yubico finally launched its long-awaited biometric security keys in October. The company has also started offering keys through the Microsoft Azure Marketplace.
