OPPO is once again using Fingerprint Cards biometric technology in a new pair of devices. Both the OPPO R11 and the OPPO R11 Plus feature an FPC1245 fingerprint sensor.
It’s the same sensor model used in other recent devices from OPPO, including the OPPO A77 and the OPPO F3. Those devices also employed algorithm software from longtime FPC partner Precise Biometrics; and while the latter hasn’t yet confirmed its involvement in the new devices, it’s a good bet that the company is once again providing its software.
The OPPO R11 was only launched on June 9th, but has so far seen a positive reception, with Android Authority calling it “a very promising mid-range smartphone” after getting some hands-on time with the device. It’s aimed primarily at the China market, with GSM Arena reporting that it will first go on sale on June 16th.
