Mobile ID News Roundup: A New Entrant To The Mobile Wallet WarsLast week we reported on the latest entrant to the mobile wallet wars: Mi Pay from Xiaomi. PayPal, meanwhile, provided details on a partnership that is enabling contactless ATM service, and Mastercard once again brought its mobile financial tech to The Barclays golf tournament. Walgreens linked its rewards program to Android Pay, Asda began trialing Apple Pay, and Samsung celebrated the one year anniversary of its mPayment platform by offering up usage numbers.

In other second factor news, digital security provider 2FA, Inc.—whose solutions support nine different methods of authentication, including RFID, OTP, fingerprint biometric, and SMS—was acquired by Identity Automation.
