IPification is continuing to expand its business in Europe. The Hong Kong-based company is now offering its phone verification service to customers in France, after previously launching in the United Kingdom in early 2021. IPification has also entered the Switzerland and Cyprus markets through partnerships with the mobile network operators Swisscom and Cyta, respectively.
The company’s French debut will allow developers in the country to integrate IPification’s authentication technology into their own mobile applications. The IPification solution is designed primarily for remote onboarding, and analyzes IP addresses and mobile records to make sure that someone is using their own phone when they try to open an account. The entire verification process can be completed with only a single click, making it one of the faster options for those searching for a second authentication factor.
In that regard, IPification believes that its streamlined user experience will help boost acquisition and retention rates for businesses that adopt its technology. The company has pitched its solution as a secure alternative to SMS One-Time Passwords, which can be compromised through phishing and various kinds of malware.
“It’s a pleasure to enter the French market, and rewrite the history of mobile authentication together,” said IPification CEO Stefan Kostic. “Now that our solutions are live in the country, I am looking forward to onboarding service providers, a few of which are in the final stages of the implementation of our one-click mobile authentication and user verification solutions.”
IPification is now active in more than 20 markets internationally. It has also established an IPification International AG subsidiary that is headquartered in Switzerland. The company recently launched a new solution that allows clients to verify people’s identities through the popular WhatsApp, Viber, and Telegram instant messaging services.
