“OPPO is by now a longstanding repeat customer of FPC, having integrated the company’s biometric technology into numerous devices over the past couple of years.”
Fingerprint Cards has announced another smartphone integration of its fingerprint sensor technology.
OPPO’s A77 uses the FPC1245 sensor model. In a statement announcing the integration, FPC explained that the device “is a variant of OPPO F3 for the Taiwanese market,” so it’s little wonder that the device uses the same sensor model.
OPPO is by now a longstanding repeat customer of FPC, having integrated the company’s biometric technology into numerous devices over the past couple of years. Precise Biometrics, FPC’s longtime software partner, has also tended to be involved in these collaborations.
The integration announcement is one of several that FPC has issued in recent weeks despite reporting a challenging market landscape to navigate over the first half of this year.
