The FIDO Alliance was back in the news last week with founding member Nok Nok Labs publishing an infographic illustrating the standard’s various applications. Bank of America took a strong, positive stance on biometrics last week too, announcing further biometric login support for its customers and its adherence to FIDO specifications.

Last week’s smartphone news had us seeing more biometrics from Xiaomi, with the company including strong authentication features on its upcoming flagship handset. We reported on the newest integration of Fingerprint Cards (FPC) technology on the Blu Pure XL, and optimistic predictions began to surface regarding weekend-one iPhone 6S sales.
