Alipay is now compatible as a payment option with Ingenico’s offline merchant network in Europe thanks to a new deal struck last week. PayPal, in the meantime, expanded its use of biometrics as a password replacement for its app, and Android Pay made the news thanks to the Australian state of New South Wales announcing its support of the mobile wallet. That last story is of particular note considering the controversy currently stewing over Apple Pay’s arrival in Australia. It’s not all drama for Apple’s mobile wallet, however, and last week Apple Pay announced another merchant supporter as well as a new bank partner.
