Nuance Communications is celebrating after Opus Research named the company as the top developer of voice-based virtual assistants. This is the fourth consecutive year that Nuance has achieved the highest rating in Opus’ Decision Makers’ Guide to Enterprise Intelligent Assistants.
Nuance bested 12 other companies on its way to the top of the charts. The evaluations were based a number of criteria, including the quality of a company’s core technologies and the ease with which those technologies can be integrated into actual customer solutions. Opus also looked at a company’s track record, market reach, and future strategy.
In that regard, Opus was searching for providers that use conversational AI to solve real-world problems and make people’s lives better. Nuance was selected for offering a complete solution that provides greater security while delivering a more personalized customer experience.
“Intelligent assistants have moved into a new phase of adoption as thousands of firms employ chatbots, voicebots, or virtual agents to improve customer experience and employee productivity,” said Opus Research Lead Analyst Dan Miller. “Nuance scored highly with solutions that include a flexible, customizable platform that is open combined with professional services that allow enterprises to employ a mix of AI and live agents.”
“I’m proud of the team for earning this accolade for the fourth year in a row,” added Nuance EVP and GM Robert Weideman. “This ranking demonstrates our future-looking approach and investment in areas that improve customer experiences, boost bottom lines, and apply AI to accelerate digital transformation goals of today’s enterprises.”
Opus also named Nuance as a Leader in its recent Intelligent Authentication and Fraud Prevention Intelliview Report, which came out in September of 2020. Last April, Nuance released a new Nuance Mix solution that will make it easier for clients to build their own conversational AI systems using Nuance’s technology.
